you have one sentence to say why the one you think less of sucks.
i think genesis sucks cuz it had less buttons and less horsepower.

You're a moron, the Genesis is way more powerfull than the SNES. Just look at Super Mario World; bland one colour textures. Than we have Sonic 1; detailed rich textures with background animations. The only thing the Super Nintendo had over the Genesis was sound, but that doesn't really matter considering the Sega CD was able to produce CD quality music.

wow. are you really ignorant or just stupid? look at chrono trigger and super metroid and DONKEY KONG COUNTRY and try to tell me genesis has better graphics. what did genesis have? friggin toejam & earl?
and that 6 button controller was only so it could work with the 19 thousand system add-ons that came out after it
As an owner of both, who also imported games constantly there is no comparison here. The Genesis was an embarrassment compared to the SNES game quality wise. If you people think the SNES is better then I could only imagine what you would've though of it if we got all the missing games from Japan. I mean sure the Genesis had some cult hits like Wonderboy, Snatcher, Ristar, Sol-Fece, and others, but they were no match for the SNES's behemoth Japanese line-up.

The genesis is but one of a long line of more powerful expensive consoles that lost to a less advanced console with better games.
Sure the Genesis rocked with a Segacd and a 32x on it but the thing was $600 bucks how stupid was that?
Sheep have lefted SW, so Genesis wins by default. No more poll hacking in Nintendo's favor. ;)

Sheep left because they got a great game that is a worthy end to the metroid sage??? thinking an 8.5 is a bad score just makes you a fanboy.
anyway the SNES is better.
The Mega Drive, undoubtedlty. The SNES was ok, but the Mega Drive was better.Panzer_ZweiI dislike you.

Come back when the Genisises as Games that look adn sound as good ans Donky kong country series, SOM 1&2, Chrono Tirgger ,Terranigma, Tales of Phantasia and Star Ocean (These 2 in particular)
SEEEEGGAAAA
Cmon, sonic, vectorman, road rash, streets of rage, better mortal kobats (at least MK 1), excellent sports games, strider, golden axe, comix zone - genesis was great. I'm not downing SNES (great system also), but genesis vs. SNES was one of the greatest console wars.
Because SeGa self-pwned by having extra add-on drives and crap. Add-on drives are for losers. Either include it in the system from the get go, or leave it for the next gen.ianuilliamActually, add-ons were for the ones who chose to buy them, they were optional. In fact some of the best games of that gen such as Snatcher and Dracula X were for CD add-ons. Of course, people that were too young and a SNES was all their parents bought them, are very ignorant about the games on the CD add-ons of the time, so your comment is hardly surprising.

Spending $200, the game line-up that those add-ons provided was nowhere near the worth.

They were actually. Both had a lot of great games, The PC-Engine alone had more than 500 developed games. And just to mention some of the great Mega CD games:
Take a guess on which two posters created this list lol
